Revolution on Paper

New show at the British Museum called Revolution on Paper- Mexican prints 1910-1960.

"Between 1910 and 1920, Mexico was convulsed by a socialist revolution that aimed to topple the elite ruling class and improve conditions for society at large. The left-wing government which emerged laid great emphasis on art as a vehicle to promote the values of the revolution. Walls of public buildings were covered with vast murals, and workshops made prints for mass distribution."

The Icecreamists!!

As tacky as you can get....but good at the same time..the Icecreamists are 'the agents of cool' presenting ice cream in new and exciting, mouthwatering and ultimately too tempting to turn down flavours, along with shows, music and all sorts! They will be in the Ultralounge at Selfridges London until the end of October.  Now, I LOVE ICE CREAM...so i really must go and at least check it out..!

Frontline

'Nick Broomfield's new film, A Time Comes: The Story of the Kingsnorth Six, looks at the celebrated case of the Kingsnorth 6. In 2007 environmental activists scaled the smokestack at Kingsnorth power station in Kent and painted Gordon Brown’s name down the side.
Charged with £30k of criminal damage they faced jail, but argued in court that what they did was justified because of climate change. In a ground-breaking verdict the jury acquitted them.'

It's on at the Frontline Club on September 11th.  Frontline Club hosts screenings, events, media and politics discussions, Q&As and much more...check it out.
